After several weeks surfing every day on Playa Carmen, renting a quad has allowed us to move a little further along the coast. Further south to Cabo Blanco Reserve, and to the north where we were able to get into the water on a small white sand beach break "Playa Hermosa". A few days after their arrival and a day of rest well deserved, my parents and my sister went to pick us up, to go much further south to Corcovado National park. The distances are not important, but the hours of road long enough, we made a stop at national park "Manuel Antonio" in Quepos, a few hours walk to visit a park a bit too touristy for our taste, a little night in the typical Costa Rican "cabinas", good opportunity to have wifi and watch the final of the quikpro goldcoast and then here we go again to the south. Crossing a part of the Osa Peninsula to reach Corcovado wasn't easy, in fact the dirt tracks are the only existing roads to get there and we had to cross several rivers as well as ribbed before finally getting stuck at the end of the road in front the beach, 2 hours walk from the park in the evening at dusk. Forced to stop, we spend a night in the nearest cabina before we realize that it is possible to take a guide who would take us by boat to the park. The "ticos" were super nice, helping us get the car out of trouble, then we went to the famous Corcovado park the next morning, at first lights.  Having landed on the beach of "San Pedrillo," we began our trek along footpaths. The guide shares his knowledge of the forest and shows us ants, spiders, trees many and varied, we also cross the path of an "Aguti" as a "Coatis"'s family,  two beautiful red parrots, a small red frog and all sorts of butterflies and colorful birds. After 5 hours walking in the forest sweltering heat, a small meal and telescope viewing a saltwater crocodile a few hundred meters away, chasing pelicans among the rocks; we hit the road for new adventures . Next destination, the volcano "El Arenal".
